The weekend that was..

Interesting times.

The best bit about this weekend is that on the whole I was happy.  This may sound a bit wishy-washy, but it seem such a long time since I was happy with most of my life.  As well as the nicotine withdrawal of cause, which Mumsie tells me will kill in again in another 5 months. :(

I say for the most part cos finding that your car door won't open is always a kick in the pants.  Looks like someone was reversing out of the spot next to me, when they decided to simply rub cars.  In the process they squashed the quarter panel and there tier appears to have pushed in my wheel hub, pushing it into the door.  Yep.  Sucks.  Ah well, that's why I have insurance.  No point getting upset about it.  Called the insurance, they set me up with an appointment with the car dealer round the corner from my house.  I'm hoping that they'll take it the week that I'm in California for the wedding.

Ahh yes, sorry work intruded on my introspection (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=introspection).

So with the help of Surly we got the car door open.  Had to call Fomudder's brother about the accident and let him know the odds of actually making it to Mud Volleyball were going to be slim to nil :(  I'll make it up to him at the "Rat Boy" (an annual golf outing for charity) still feeling bad about it.  What can I do though?  I was too worried about the car.  *sigh*  I hope he's not too pissed.

So we fix the car and wander down to the Winking Lizard (an over priced crap whole of a bar) for Magi's leaving bash.  Turns out she's still going to be in town so she's gonna come to the PARTAY!  *grin*  Had a couple of beers.  Rather than eat there we wondered up to the Jigsaw for dinner, it's my local in Oldsville.  I didn't realise how much fun it could be.  All I needed was someone to talk to.  Stranger still is the fact that Surly actually enjoyed himself in a bar!  I know that sounds strange but it's the atmosphere in Oldsville.  You can be anything or look like anything and nobody gives a rats ass.  If you're an ass, they will say some thin', but they won't comment if your wearing a wife beater and shorts.  With the white socks and the sandals.  Not a peep!  It's great!

Anyway Surly had a good time, back to mine to watch SG1 and Galactica.  Awesome.

Up early, still no work from the insurance.  Cleaned up the computer room.  There were still heaps of boxes from the move 6 months ago..
